1. Carriage charges in United Kingdom
Carriage starts from just £10.00 depending on the products, order value and location. Orders over £100.00 are free. The correct amount and carriage options will be offered at the checkout.
Where next day delivery is offered it is based on orders received before 4.00pm. Orders despatched on a Friday will be delivered on the following Monday. Where there is a bank holiday the order will be delivered on the next working day instead. Please note that delivery next day is only possible if the goods are in stock, we do not guarantee next day delivery, the carriage charge is a subsidised charge to cover the cost of transport.
There is an extra charge to the highlands and islands of Scotland, northern Ireland and other islands around the UK. If you are not sure if an extra carriage charge will be applied you should enter your address in the checkout for an instant quotation. The full carriage charge will be quoted at the cart page and the checkout page once your UK postcode has been entered. Items marked heavy goods are despatched by pallet, see below.
2. Heavy Goods
These products are over the maximum weight for standard carriage charges. The extra carriage is quoted at the cart and checkout pages. The goods will be sent by pallet on a 48 hour working day delivery service. Access for a lorry is required and because the delivery is made by an external haulier they will only deliver the pallet using a tail lift and pallet truck, it is your responsibility to unload the pallet and take the goods inside.
3. Long Goods
These products are over the 2.6m maximum length allowable for standard carriage therefore carriage is quoted seperately.
4. Fragile Goods
These products are fragile and are liable to be damaged in transit, as we have found in the past using an external carrier. Unfortunately we cannot despatch these goods by carrier. The following rules apply:
- Local delivery
We can deliver by van from a local branch throughout the East Midlands / East Anglia.
- Orders Of Sufficient Quantity
We can deliver direct from the manufacturer, the order for lamps would need to be a minimum of £150.00 for this facility.
If you are able to collect then you are welcome during business hours.
5. Direct Delivery Goods
We have an arrangement with some manufacturers where the goods are despatched by the manufacturer direct to you for mainland England and Scotland. Orders outside of these areas (including the Scottish islands, IOM, Scilly Isles, Ireland and the Channel Islands) are subject to extra charges and are quoted seperately, please accept our apologies if this is not shown clearly at the checkout.
Returns Policy – Faulty Goods
We will refund the cost of the goods and the delivery charge, please contact us to arrange for the goods to be collected. All returns are tested and if the item proves not to be faulty when tested then only the product value will be refunded. You will be charged the actual cost of the delivery and the collection.
For large pallet deliveries please be aware that the costs will be considerably higher than you are charged for delivery.
For small item deliveries that arrive with carriers you agree to open all boxes and thoroughly check the goods for damage on the day of delivery and notify us of any damage within 7 days of the delivery. If we are not notified of damage within 7 days we are unable to claim from either the manufacturer or the carrier. You agree to indemnify us in full for any losses we suffer as a result of your failure to notify us within 7 days.
For bulky deliveries that arrive on pallets you agree to check the goods for damage before signing the drivers delivery note. If you sign for the goods, even if you write the words “Unchecked” or similar on the delivery note, then you are accepting that the goods arrived in good condition and later claims for damages will not be considered. If the driver refuses to wait while you check the goods then you must refuse to accept the delivery and inform with the details as soon as possible. If someone else is signing for the goods on your behalf you agree to advise them that the goods must be checked and you accept full responsibility for any loss or damage if they sign on your behalf and fail to check. You agree to indemnify us in full for any losses we suffer as a result of you or your agent accepting goods and signing a delivery note without thoroughly checking the goods for damage.
Returns Policy – Changed Your Mind?
If you change your mind about the product when you receive it you can inform us within 7 days of delivery that you would like to return the item for a refund. It is your responsibility to ensure that returned goods reach us in good condition.
For large pallet deliveries please be aware that the costs to send them back will be considerably higher than you are charged for delivery. We suggest that you take out carrier insurance because if the goods do not arrive in re-saleable condition no refund will be made.
PLEASE NOTE; Do NOT write on individual product packaging. Once the product packaging has been written on the product is no longer in re-saleable condition and a refund cannot be provided.
